Two weeks before Christmas 2022 I had a grand mal seizure. This was my first real seizure and required hospitalization. I had been having a foggy memory, I’d written that off to turning 50.But this seizure led to some big memory gaps and 6 months with no driving. I’m a pharmacist, have been one for 25 years. Mild seizures and not remembering the name of the person driving me to work or where we were going was an issue.

I had to take a break, semi-retire or whatever I called it when asked. I got my first job in a drugstore at 19, it was all I’d ever known. I was a respected member of society turned into a lump crying in his basement. Melissa would log into her work from home job, I’d go down to my office where we record the podcast and pretend to do things besides cry.

Nick and I still did Tapped Out and he drove me to shows. I didn’t talk about it much, sometimes I would, but I’m not good at that. I realized I was constantly surrounded by the thing that had really been a constant my whole life, professional wrestling. So I turned to the people I knew in wrestling. The people in and around professional wrestling in Georgia provided me with that community I’d found in my career. They gave me somebody to talk to, emotional support and friendship. I got the validation and appreciation I had been missing. It had been there for me since way before then, I had enjoyed it for years, but it hadn’t occured to me how much I leaned on it.

So when I needed help, I turned to my family and Georgia wrestling and I got what I needed. I’ve expressed my appreciation to my family. I wanted to let my friends in Georgia wrestling know how much they meant to me.

Thank you,

Your Buddy Myron
